Christmas celebrations

Join us at the Glengower this December for some festive celebrations!  There is always a lively and friendly atmosphere making it the perfect place for your Christmas party.

So if you are organising the family get together, the works Christmas do or the university Christmas social event then why not take a peek at our festive menu.  Festive parties can be pre-booked for a 2 or 3 course Christmas dinner.

Christmas menu

Our creative chefs have put together a delicious 2/3 course Christmas menu that combines all things traditional along with some new and original dishes.  Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 30th November until Friday 21st December 2018.

We can cater for parties of varying sizes so please give us a call on 01970 626 191 to discuss your requirements.

STARTERS

Pumpkin and sage soup, served with truffle oil and a warm bread roll (v,gfo)
Porcini arancini, wild mushroom risotto balls with a creamy gorgonzola centre on a bed of buttered spinach (v)
Duck à l’orange paté with red onion marmalade, rocket salad and toasted ciabiatta (gfo)
Traditional prawn cocktail with homemade Marie Rose sauce, mixed leaves and brown bloomer bread (gfo)

MAINS

Butter roast crown of turkey, Christmas spiced cranberry relish, rosemary skewered pigs in blankets and homemade roasting pan gravy (gfo)
Butternut squash, pine nut and goats cheese tarte with a wild mushroom sauce (v)
Sage and apricot infused belly pork with juniper apple chutney and homemade pan gravy (gf)
Salmon en croûte served with a dijon mustard sauce and wilted spinach

All served with maple glazed parsnips, festive greens with roasted chestnut butter, juniper spiced carrots and rosemary & thyme roast potatoes (v,gf)

DESSERTS

Christmas brownie with cranberry, walnut and mincemeat fruit coulis
Eton mess combined with a mulled wine Christmas compôte (gf)
Cinnamon bread and butter pudding served with chocolate orange sauce
Raspberry ripple arctic roll with a mixed berry compôte

Booking

Booking is required when dining from our Christmas menu along with a pre-order no less than 14 days before the date of your meal.  A non refundable deposit of £10 per head is required to secure the booking.  Please return the pre-order form to info@glengower.co.uk or pop it into the pub.
